Ans d' Arlet is a fishing village in the southwest of Matrinique. In the village is a bakery and some small shops for fruits, vegetable and grocerys.  Besieds a pharmacy and a surgery.

Directly at the beach are small restuarants that serve france and creole specialitys.

The beach is suitable for families with kids.  Snorkeling can be done directly in the bay at a rock around 50m into the sea where the diversity of seaanimals can be seen.

Jardin de Balata is a botanic garden at the border of the rainforest.  Nature lover find the whole year there tropical flowers with colerful blossoms.
